Fostering
Fostering a horse from PGER is similar to an adoption. Although you pay no adoption fee, you assume the cost and responsibility of caring for the horse. i.e. feed, farrier, vet, worming etc. You must live within the Prince George area to foster a horse from PGER. The horse you choose to foster can be delivered to your property at no charge. Foster families are given first option to adopt their foster horse. (payment plans can be arranged for foster families) However, if someone is interested in the fostered horse, you will need to allow us to arrange a viewing. (at a time that is convenient for you of course)
You can expect us to call and arrange a time to come out and evaluate the horse about once every two months. (this allows us to have current information on the horse for prospective owners) Should you decide you would no longer like to foster, the horse can be returned to PGER. Cost of transport back to PGER is at your expense.
Not all PGER horses are available for fostering. Availability will be noted under the adoption fee on that horse's information page.
